Since I’ve been away at college, I’ve had a whirlwind of new experiences. The campus is beautiful, and the people I’ve met have been incredibly kind and welcoming. However, there are moments when I long for the comfort and familiarity of home. I miss our cozy living room, the smell of homemade meals, and the sound of your voices in the background.
One of the highlights of my time here has been joining the soccer team. It’s been a great way to meet new friends and stay active. Academics have also been a significant part of my college experience. I’m taking some challenging courses, and I’m proud of the progress I’ve made. However, I’ve realized that I need to be more disciplined with my time management. I often find myself staying up late to finish assignments, which leaves me feeling exhausted. I miss the days when you helped me with my homework, and I wish I could have that support now.
Despite the challenges, I’m grateful for the opportunities that college has provided me. I’ve learned to be more independent and self-reliant, and I’ve gained a newfound appreciation for the value of family. I hope that you both are proud of me for taking this leap of faith and pursuing my dreams.
